This hotel is an ideal location for exploring Aldeburgh and its surrounding areas. Having stayed before this didn’t disappoint again. Very friendly and helpful staff where nothing was too much trouble. The sea view room was clean and comfortable and the only sound was the rolling waves making it feel very relaxing.

We went for the festive break. Great room with a sea view. Service in the restaurant was warm, friendly, and efficient. The food was very good. The location was perfect.

Nice hotel, clean and pleasant rooms, great location. Only complaint is how hot it is, was absolutely roasting in the corridors and room. Had the window open all night and it got down to 3° outside, but still outrageously hot which totally ruined our sleep. I guess the octogenarians who make up most of the clientele like this, but for anyone born after the war it's very uncomfortable.

A fine hotel - the rooms are well furnished and decorated, excellent services and splendid food. Superb bedroom views of the sun rising over wintry seas, and a lovely location for many winter walks last week.

A brief but delightful stay at the Brudenell, which we have known for many years. The hotel has a superb location, right next to the sea, with only the path and the shingle in the way. Walking in either direction along the coast is a real pleasure: even in grey and cold weather it is very attractive. The Aldeburgh high street has many interesting shops to recommend it. The renovation of the hotel has been done extremely well; the staff are welcoming and helpful and the dining experience was a happy one. We much look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful room, extremely comfortable and clean, great sea view. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were only there for one night and the breakfast menu was excellent.

Only stopped for a drink. Nice place but they need to do something about the fly situation if you sit outside. Nowhere else in aldeburgh suffers like this.

The most amazing location, right on the beach. Beautiful in all weathers. Very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful staff but issues with cleanliness in rooms. Couldn't see through the windows in our sea view room. Were either dirty or the double glazing was blown. Had fan on all night as it was hot. In the morning the floor, base of the fan and my bedside table covered in thick fluffy layers of dust. As if someone had emptied the hoover over everything and I was breathing this in all night. No manager to talk to. Fan replaced but I could see all the dust inside it so didn't use. When we checked out no manager again but receptionist gave us a reduction on our food bill which was strange as the food was wonderful

Great hotel, perfect location, nice room. Had issue on second night. Resolved promptly by hotel management providing alternative upgraded room whilst they resolved issue in an adjacent room. Food (dinner and breakfast) okay, but plenty of options in Aldeburgh available.

This hotel is wonderful. It is located right on the beach so you get to listen to the sea all day long. It is situated close to Aldeburgh high street so it is convenient for shopping too. The staff are excellent - all incredibly friendly and looked after us really well. Nothing was a problem, even when busy. The food was sublime. Our rooms were cleaned to an excellent standard and had everything in them that we needed. Our dogs were very welcome to laze all day on the terrace and in the lounge. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

My husband and I booked a standard room for 3 nights, and were put in room 316. This room is directly next to the old lift which makes a loud clunking noise continuously. This is mentioned in the room description, but frankly they just shouldn’t be offering rooms next to a lift without adequate sound proofing. The worst sound of all was not mentioned in the room description, and appears to be the extractor fan that sounds like drilling from 6am-12am. I will not be staying again. Avoid this hotel!

I came here with my family for dinner and had the best night. The food was incredible and delicious, and the service was immaculate. Everyone was extremely friendly, and we were served by Dan, who was very helpful and chatty. The view was amazing, overlooking the sea. I would come back here anytime. ☺️
